including mainstays Download, Plateau, and the Tear Garden.
Newcomers Djoto, baseck + sonic death rabbit, and subcon collaborator
Otto Von Schirach are included. All new music for the mind and material.
Subconscious Communications is the vanity/boutique label founded by
cEvin Key & Dwayne Goettel of Skinny Puppy in the early 90s. After the initial breakup
of Skinny Puppy and tragic death of Dwayne, it became the sole imprint of cEvin
to release his post-SP projects, Download and Plateau.
In the mid 2000s, Subconscious was resuscitated by the release of "From The Vault",
a collection of rare and unreleased tracks from the variety of projects cEvin helmed.
The success of this series spawned "From The Vault" series 2, including even more raw
and unreleased tracks in addition to new material from Download and Plateau.
This year sees "Beyond The Vault", all new music from cEvin + friends, including some
new collaborators and musicians who strike the fancy of Subcon. In the view of cEvin,
he's eager to release music by folks who grew up on and found intense inspiration
in the music of Skinny Puppy.
